<span style="color: #222222;">The COVID 19 pandemic in Bangladesh showed further improvement on Saturday with the daily death toll declining to 80. This is the lowest single day death toll in over two months. Bangladesh had recorded 77 deaths due to COVID 19 in a single day on June 26. Since then, the number of deaths in a day has remained over 100. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">According to the latest bulletin issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the death toll on Saturday has gone up to 25,926. The country also recorded 3436 new corona positive cases and 4861 recoveries on Saturday reducing the number of active cases to 54,432. The sample positivity rate increased from 12.78 percent on Friday to 13.67 percent on Saturday. The recovery rate in Bangladesh stood at over 94 percent. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, more than 18 million people have received the first dose of the COVID 19 vaccine. Over 7.63 million people have received both the doses.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Bangladesh is expected to receive the fifth and final consignment of 6.34 lakh doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID 19 vaccines from Japan on Saturday.
