Janmastami, the birthday of Lord Krishna was celebrated in Bangladesh today with religious fervour and enthusiasm across the country.Colourful Janmastami processions displaying the events of the life ofKrishna were organised in Dhaka and the divisional cities anddistricts. Hundreds of devotees including women and childrenparticipated in the daylong programmes which included special pujasand prayers in temples. Bangladesh President Zillur Rahman and PrimeMinister Sheikh Hasina issued separate messages greeting the membersof the Hindu community marking the day and wished happiness andwellbeing in their life. Bangladesh President Zillur Rahman alsohosted a reception for the Hindu community leaders at Bangabhabantoday and exchanged greetings with them.
