Bangladesh has urged the international community to come up with urgent humanitarian assistance to help the country address the Rohingya refugee crisis , and make Myanmar agree on immediate implementation of Kofi Annan Commission's recommendations. <br/><br/>Talking to reporters last night after back to back briefings to Dhaka-based diplomats, Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali said Bangladesh is also seeking international support in providing shelter and other necessities to over 7,00,000 Rohingyas living in the country, and transporting them to Thengar Char in Hatia island where they will be kept till they go home. <br/><br/>Besides 4,00,000 Rohingyas already living in Bangladesh, another 3,00,000 have crossed over during the last 2 weeks fleeing violence in the Rakhine State. Ambassadors and High Commissioners from different Misssions including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, France Germany, US, UK, Italy.<br/><br/>Turkey attended the briefing. A separate briefing was attended by diplomats from Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Saudia Arabia, Kuwait, Morrocco, Oman and UAE.
