Bangladesh : At least 24 killed as boat carrying devotees for Mahalaya drowns

<span style="color: black;">At least 24 people were killed when a boat carrying them to a temple for Mahalaya festival drowned in Panchagarh district, more than 400 kilometres north of the capital city Dhaka on Sunday. Among the dead, eight were children, four men and 12 women.<br />''</span><br />'' <span style="color: black;">According to the local administration at least 30 passengers travelling on the boat are still missing. The incident took place at Aowlia Ghat in Boda Upazila of Marea Union on Sunday afternoon.<br />''</span><br />'' <span style="color: black;">The district administration has recovered all the 24 bodies of the accident. The identity of the deceased has not yet been identified. Search for the missing is underway.
