Bangla govt. sets up 3 member committee to probe death of 44 children

The Bangladesh government has set up a three member committee to probe into Monday's truck accident which has left 44 school children dead and 15 injured. The accident occurred when the cargo truck carrying them crashed into a road side ditch in Mirasarai Upazila of Chittagong. The school students were returning home in the ill fated truck after winning an inter-school football tournament when the driver reportedly lost control and the vehicle skidded off the road and fell into the road side ditch. The truck was reported to have been carrying more than 60 students when the accident occurred. Bangladesh President Zillur Rahman and Prime Minister Seikh Hasina have offered condolence to the death of students in the road mishap and directed the authorities concerned to ensure proper treatment of the injured.
