India were 128 for two in reply to Australia's 478 in their first innings at stumps on day two of the second Test against Australia in Bangalore. Sachin Tendulkar was batting on 44 while Murali Vijay was unbeaten on 42 as India still trail by 350 runs with eight wickets remaining in the first innings. Australia posted their highest ever total at Chinnaswamy stadium, their earlier best being 474 in 2004. Indian spinners toiled for about 55 overs since morning to claim five wickets, all in post lunch session. Marcus North scored a brilliant 128 runs for the visitors.
