Bangalore Rural Police crack 91 cases; seize haul worth 1.15cr

Cracking 91 cases in the last four months, Bangalore Rural Police nabbed 169 culprits and seized valuables worth Rs 1.15 crore from them. The Superintendent of Police, Bangalore Rural District, D. Prakash said the cases included those of robberies, extortion, thefts including vehicle thefts that occurred in the last four months. Valuables worth Rs 1.15 crore were recovered including 11 four wheelers, 25 two-wheelers, 1.630 kgs of gold ornaments and 5.380 kgs of silver items. He said, “Abhaya Scheme” aimed to prevent crime against women, senior citizens and families living in farmhouses and also to address their grievances was also launched.
