In Karnataka, Bangalore Police has arrested KRK Reddy, General Secretary of Goutham Academy of General and Technical Education Society that runs the school where a three-year-old girl was sexually abused. The arrest is made on the complaint filed by the Department of Public Instruction, on the charges that the school was run without proper certification from State or Central Governments. It is charged in the complaint that the school has cheated more than 900 children and their parents. The police team investigating the sexual assault case has recorded the statement of 37 non-teaching staff in the school.
