Bandh in Telengana went off peacefully

In Andhra Pradesh, barring some sporadic incidents, the Bandh called by Telengana Rastra Samithi (TRS) went off peacefully in Telengana region on Monday. Normal life in 9 Telngana districts and the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad was partially affected. TRS activists have observed Bandh in Telengana Region protesting the arrest of their leader Chandrasekhara Rao on Sunday ahead of his fast unto death demanding separate Telengana state. Some minor incidents of violence such as burning effigies and damaging public property were reported from several places. Educational institutions remained closed across the region. However, the attendance at Government and private offices was as usual. Meanwhile, the BJP has extended its support to the TRS and took part in the demonstrations.<br/><br/>TRS president Chandrasekhara Rao is continuing fast in the Khammam sub-jail. Home Minister Sabitha Reddy told media that the Government has sent a team of doctors to examine his health condition.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, the state Cabinet has formed a core group of Ministers to analyse the situation that is emerging from the TRS agitation and suggest the future course of action to tackle the situation.<br/>
