In Andhra Pradesh, barring some stray incidents, bandh called by all-party Telangana Joint Action Committee in Telangana region passed off peacefully on Wednesday amidst tight security. Bandh was observed in Hyderabad and nine other districts in the region demanding the Centre to announce a clear time-frame for carving out Telangana state.<br/><br/>However, normal life across the Telangana region almost come to a stand still due to bandh. Commuters are facing severe hardships as the State Road Transport Corporation; APSRTC has suspended over 9 thousand bus services across the region. Railways have cancelled more than 150 trains in three major routes. Long distance transport services have been suspended since Tuesday night. The transportation of essential commodities like milk and vegetables was also affected. Shops, petrol pumps and business entities observed bandh and cinema theatres remained closed. Attendance was poor in the Government and private offices in Hyderabad.<br/><br/>Thousands of supporters of separate Telanagana organised human chains and road blocks and held rallies and demonstrations across the region. Attacks on public and private offices were reported at some places. Incidents of lathi charge were reported from few places in Ranga Reddy and Karimnagar districts. Several leaders of Telugu Desam and BJP have been arrested when they tried to take out a procession in Hyderabad. Congress and TRS leaders have taken part in rallies at several places. Rail Roko, Rasta Roko and sit in dharnas by the activists of various parties have been reported from many a place across the region.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, Osmania University students who were on fast unto death have called-off their stir at the hospital.<br/>
