In Andhra Pradesh, all the 8 recognised political parties have finalised their representatives to the crucial all party meeting convened by the Government in Delhi on Tuesday. In addition to the representatives, a number of MPS, MLAs and senior leaders of these parties, belonging to the three regions of the state have reached the capital today to lobby on the line that their party should take in the meeting.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, normal life was disrupted today in coastal and Rayalaseema regions due to bandh called by joint action committee in support of united Andhra. At the same time, protest demonstrations continued even today in Telengana region demanding bifurcation of the state.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports that ahead of the crucial meeting in Delhi on Telengana issue on Tuesday, the state was rocked by protests in one form or other in all three regions today. Bandh was observed in coastal and Rayalaseema regions of the state in support of united Andhra. The bandh which was called by Joint Action committee of United Andhra passed off peacefully amidst tight security and it was total. Commuters faced hardships as APSRTC withdrew all its services in these two regions. <br/><br/>While schools, colleges and government offices remained closed, and shops and other business establishments downed the shutters, banks however functioned as usual. The activists in support of United Andhra held rallies, rasta rooks and took out processions. The agitators were arrested and released later at Vijayawada and several other places. The agitators also called for rail roko on Tuesady. On the other hand, the activists in support of statehood for Telengana continued protest demonstrations in several parts of Telengana region. The government employees held ‘pen down’ strike at several places. The students and women participated in the demonstrations in large number at several places. The protesters in the Telengana region have also called for rail and rasta roko on Tuesday.
