Normal life was today hit in Tripura during the 12-hour nation-wide strike called by the Left and the non-BJP opposition parties. According to official sources, shops and markets were closed and vehicles were off the road in the state capital and across the state but there was no report of any untoward incident. Schools, colleges, banks and financial institutions remained closed. Train and air service were also hit. <br/>
