In Andhra Pradesh, the normal life in Telangana region has been hit today due to the 48-hour Bandh called by Telangana Joint Action Committee. Barring minor incidents, the bandh is going on so far peacefully. Besides, Telangana Rastra Samithi, CPI, BJP and TDP leaders from the region have extended support to the bandh. The transport services have been worst affected posing severe inconvenience to people in 10 districts of the region as thousands of buses have been confined to the depots. Educational institutions besides shops and business entities were closed. Most of the Petrol stations, cinema halls and hotels were shutdown across the region. Attendance in Government and Private Offices was also affected. In Hyderabad, the usually busy centres and major traffic junctions have a disserted look. City bus services run partially while Local train services in a section were suspended. However, the essential services like water and milk supply were spared. Meanwhile, large number of police forces wearing riot gear is seen at all important places as police has been put on high alert through out the region to prevent any untoward incidents.
