In Manipur, normal life has been badly affected due to the dawn to dusk bandh called by the North-East Students Organization (NESO) from five this morning. The All Manipur Students Union (AMSU), a constituent body of the North-East students organization says that the bandh is called as a mark of protest against discrimination of North-East people in other parts of the country. In the state capital Imphal, inter-state and inter-district passenger vehicles remained off the road. Educational institutions and business establishments including the main markets in Imphal remained closed. However, there is no report of any untoward incident so far.
