In Nepal, normal life in various Terai districts was affected today following a bandh called by the reconstituted CPN (Maoist) demanding release of their cadres arrested on charges of attacking Chief of Birgunj Custom Office.<br/>While markets opened partially, educational institutions remained closed and vehicles went off the road in Sunsari, Janakpur, Kapilvastu, Siraha, Saptarai and Mohatari districts. Bandh supporters smashed window panes of four vehicles in Sunsari when they were trying to ply vehicles under police escort. Police arrested three demonstrators in connection with the incident.<br/>Security has been beefed up in Terai districts with deployment of adequate security forces to maintain law and order.<br/><br/>
