UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has offered assurances of the world's continued commitment to help Haiti. Mr. Ban stressed providing shelter was the top priority as he made his second visit to the stricken country. Hundreds of thousands of people remain in urgent need, two months after the magnitude-7.0 earthquake. Mr. Ban said his visit to Haiti is to assess himself the challenges being faced by the relief effort. He said the visit will give him a much clearer picture of the situation ahead of an aid donor’s conference at the end of the month.
