A Delhi court today granted bail to Swan Telecom promoter Shahid Usman Balwa in the 2G case.

The CBI earlier told the court that it would not oppose the bail plea of Shahid Usman Balwa keeping in view the Supreme Court and High Court orders granting bail to other co-accused in the case.

Special Public Prosecutor U U Lalit had told Special CBI judge O P Saini that the charges framed against Balwa are similar to those against co-accused and Swan Telecom Director Vinod Goenka, who has been granted bail by the Supreme Court.
