A three-tier mission for saving the Himalayas has been started under the leadership of noted environmentalist Mr. Sunderlal Bahuguna. The mission aims at bringing together various stakeholders at agreement level to prepare a policy on ensuring sustainable development for the Himalayas. Talking to reporters in New Delhi on Sunday, Mr. Bahuguna stressed on a pan Himalayan policy for ensuring environmental, social and cultural security of the Himalayas. The campaign aims at spreading the message of saving Himalayas across the spectrum including all Himalayan states, down stream states and neighboring countries. For this a delegation of eminent personalities will be traveling to Nepal, Bhutan, Pakistan and Afghanistan soon.<br/>
