India's Ajay Jayaram has crashed out of the New Zealand Open Badminton tournament at Auckland. He had to forfeit his quarterfinal match against Xue Song of China due to injury problems. At the time of his withdrawal he was trailing by 12-21, 10-15. Earlier, he had defeated third seed Hoon Hong of Korea, 14-21, 28-26, 21-13 in the pre-quarterfinals. Meanwhile, another Indian shuttlerm Arvind Bhat is yet to play his pre-quarterfinal match today. He will take on Indonesia's Andre Tedjono.
