Ace Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal has dropped four places in the latest world rankings to be at the number nine spot. PV Sindhu, despite winning India's first ever Silver medal in Badminton at the Rio Olympics, remained world number 10.Sindhu had won the Silver after beating three higher-ranked players – world number four Yihan Wang of China, number three Japanese Nozomi Okuhara and number seven Tai Tzu Ying of Chinese Taipei.On the other hand, Saina, the London Olympics Bronze medalist, had failed to progress to the knock-out stage at Rio in a shock early exit. On her return home, Saina underwent a knee surgery and is likely to be out of action for as long as four months.In the Men's rankings, Kidambi Srikanth, who lost to Lin Dan in the quarterfinals at Rio, gained a place to break into the top 10.
