India's Anand Pawar has cruised into the Men's Singles quarterfinals of the German Open Grand Prix Gold Badminton tournament. In his pre-quarterfinal match yesterday, Pawar defeated Hsuan Yi Hsueh of Chinese Taipei, in straight games, 21-15, 21-13. Pawar will take on second seed Boonsak Ponsana of Thailand today, for a place in the Men's Singles semi-finals.However, another Indian shuttler in the Men's Singles, Ajay Jayaram yesterday crashed out of the tournament, after losing his pre-quarterfinal fixture.India's campaign also came to an end in the Women's Doubles and the Mixed Doubles categories yesterday.
