Badminton kindles India's hopes for medal at Rio Olympics<br/>

Badminton has kindled India&apos;s hopes for a medal at the Rio Olympics. On 12th day of the games, Kidambi Srikanth will eye for a semi final berth in the men&apos;s singles section. In his quarter-finals match today, Srikanth will be taking on two time Olympic and defending Champion Lin Dan from China. This is a tough draw for 11th ranked Srikanth but an inspiring win by PV Sindhu in her singles quarter-finals should boost him. Freestyle wrestling events are also beginning today, with women grapplers Vinesh Phogat and Sakshi Malik eying to begin their campaigns on a high. Vinesh will be seen in action in the first round of 48 kg weight class, while Sakshi will figure in the Qualifications of 58 kg division. Male wrestlers, including London Olympics bronze medalist Yogeshwar Dutt, will kick off their challenge later. Today, in Women&apos;s 800 metres race, India&apos;s Tintu Luka will be seen in action in the opening round.In Women&apos;s Golf, Aditi Ashok will begin her campaign as she will figure in the Individual Round-1.
