Egypt's opposition group, the Muslim Brotherhood, has named its new leader. According to official website of the group, Muhammad Badie has been appointed its leader following the resignation of Muhammad Akef.<br/><br/>The Brotherhood is officially banned in Egypt but controls a fifth of seats in the Egyptian parliament after it fielded independent candidates in the last general elections in 2005. Badie told reporters in Cairo on Saturday that the Brotherhood rejected violence and aimed to achieve gradual reforms.<br/>
