The Badarpur-Shillong highway, the only road link between the Tripura, Mizoram, three districts of Barak Valley of Assam and Western parts of Manipur with the rest of the country was closed for traffic from Tuesday evening because of mass landslides at Malidahar and Sonapur in Meghalaya state. <br/> <br/>AIR Silchar correspondent reports that the personnel of the Border Roads Organization (BRO), which maintains the highway are working on war footing to clear the debris to open the road. But bad weather is hampering the work. <br/>
