The international search in the southern Indian Ocean for the missing Malaysian plane has been temporarily suspended because of bad weather.

The Australian authorities said aircraft are returning to base in Perth and ships have been ordered to leave the remote stretch of water.

The search was concentrating on areas where it is believed wreckage might be found. A French satellite has spotted more than 120 objects.
