In Nepal, newly elected Prime Minister, Dr. Baburam Bhattarai is to be sworn-in today. The UCPN (Maoist ) Vice Chairman, Dr. Bhattarai will be the 35th Prime Minister of Nepal and the fourth Prime Minister since the 2008 elections to the Constituent Assembly. The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has congratulated the newly elected Prime minister of Nepal, wishing him the best and success in the task of consolidating the democratic gains made by the people of Nepal. In a letter to Dr. Bhattarai, the Prime Minister has said, India attaches the highest priority to its relations with Nepal and committed to providing all assistance in building a more stable, democratic and prosperous Nepal. The Prime Minister also extended an invitation to Dr. Bhattarai to visit India and said, he looks forward to working with the newly elected Prime Minister to strengthen and deepen the close links existing between the two countries.
