The new Police Commissioner of Delhi Mr. B. K. Gupta has said that a people-friendly policing, re-ordering traffic policing, revamp of elite anti-terror wing Special Cell and a women-centric approach will be the high priority areas during his tenure. Talking to newspersons after assuming charge, Mr. Gupta said that he will also focus on a performance based recognition and zero tolerance to corruption. A 1975-batch IPS officer, B. K. Gupta replaces Y S Dadwal, who has now been transfered to Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) as its Director General. Mr. Gupta was Director General of Tihar Jail before taking over the new assignment.
