Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting and youth affairs and sports, Anurag Singh Thakur today said that the motive of the clean india program is not only to make our country clean but also to change the mindset of people to keep their surroundings clean.<br />''<br />''He was speaking at a seminar on clean India program under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University Ayodhya. Sports and youth affairs minister of Uttar Pradesh Upendra Tiwari also took part in the program.<br />''<br />''Mr Anurag Singh Thakur said that We could not give our sacrifice in the freedom struggle but we can at least give our yogdaan in development of our nation by keeping it clean.<br />''<br />''Talking about the achievements of the UP government He said that UP government is making the state criminals free and it's time for the youth to make their state garbage free.<br />''<br />''He said that the youth of UP is contributing in the development of nation in every part of the country.  He said that UP government has successfully contained the spread of covid infection that the state has become covid free and now 60 districts do not have a single case of covid.<br />''<br />''AIR correspondent reports, The clean india campaign started on 1st October of this month from Prayagraj district in Uttar Pradesh. During this one-month-long campaign garbage of more than 1 crore 8kg were collected countrywide.<br />''<br />''Youth affairs Minister Anurag Thakur said that When we set the target to collect 75 lakh kg garbage in one month-long clean India program it was looking a big target but we achieved more than the target much before time.<br />''<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">More than 4 lakh events were organised during this period and more than 3 lakh 41 thousand villages were touched during this campaign. During his Ayodhya visit the sports  Minister also met with the budding sportsperson of the region and felicitated them.</span><br />
