More than 40 thousand Amrit Sarovars have been constructed in the country so far. This feat has been achieved within a short span of 11 months since the launch of the Mission Amrit Sarovar in April last year. A target has been set to construct 50 thousand Amrit Sarovars by 15th August this year under the Mission.<br />” <br />” As a part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched Mission Amrit Sarovar on the 24th of April, 2022 with an aim to construct and rejuvenate at least 75 Amrit Sarovars in each district across the country.<br />”<br />”The objective of the Mission is to overcome the water crisis in rural areas of the country. The Ministry of Rural Development said, Jan Bhagidari is one of the important aspects of the Mission and over 54 thousand user groups have been formed for each Amrit Sarovar.<br />”<br />”<span style="color: #222222;">The Ministry said, these user groups are involved in the entire process of development of Amrit Sarovar.</span><br />
