In Leh, as part of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' the Indian Oil Corporation Limited organized a LPG Suraksha Sanghoshti, today. Leh Hill Council CEC Tashi Gyaltson, Ladakh MP Jamyang Tsering Namgyal participated in the programme. IOCL gave a presentation and demonstration on safety methods while using LPG at homes.<br />''<br />''Speaking on the occasion, CEC Tashi Gyaltson appealed to the IOCL and the Government to devise an effective plan to far-flung areas that are spending additional expenses for refilling the cylinder each time. He also asked the IOCL to acknowledge the PM's call for carbon-neutral Ladakh and provide alternatives to kerosene for winter heating systems.<br />''<br />''Ladakh MP Jamyang said, sparsely populated Ladakh has different challenges which need planning while serving the essentials. He asked IOCL to use small vehicles for timely home delivery of cylinders in Leh and Kargil.
