Union Health Minister and Congress candidate for Udhampur-Kathua parliamentary seat, Ghulam Nabi Azad today said Congress does not believe in divisive politics on the basis of regional and communal bias which divides people. Addressing an election rally in Mandi Poonch in support of NC Congress joint candidate for the Jammu Poonch Lok Sabha seat, senior Congress leader said Parliament of India which makes laws, is above region and religion and treats all religions and regions equally. He termed those weak and devoid of self-confidence who seek votes in the name of religion or region. Highlighting various initiatives taken by UPA government in the J&K state like opening of Poonch-Rawlakote bus service, Cross LoC Trade, historical Mughal Road and other such initiatives, Ghulam Nabi Azad said Congress would continue its endeavours to augment such pro people initiatives in the State.
