<span style="color: #222222;">AYUSH Ministry in collaboration with the Health Ministry today launched the clinical research studies on use of Ayurveda as preventive<b>&nbsp;</b>and add<b>-</b>on curative medicine for COVID-19.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The clinical trials would include both prophylactic and curative effects of Ashwagandha, Yashtimadhu, Guduchi with Pippali and a poly herbal formulation known as AYUSH-64.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">These studies will be done as a joint initiative of Ministry of AYUSH, Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Science and Technology through Council of Scientific &amp; Industrial Research (CSIR) with technical support of ICMR.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AYUSH minister Shripad Naik and Health Minister Harsh Vardhan jointly launched the interdisciplinary study along with Secretary AYUSH , Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">An Interdisciplinary Ayush Research and Development Task Force with a group of experts under Vice Chairman, University Grant Commission (UGC) , Dr Bhushan Patvardhan has also been set up to formulate and develop strategies for these AYUSH based clinical studies<b>.&nbsp;</b></span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The collaboration would also undertake population-based interventional studies on the impact of AYUSH based preventive medicines.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Assessment of acceptance and usage of AYUSH advisories in prevention of COVID-19 through AYUSH Sanjivani App would also be done.</span><br />
