Ayodhya-Ahmedabad Direct Flight Inaugurated, Enhances Connectivity; Civil Aviation Minister Notes UP's Airport Growth

Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia today virtually inaugurated the direct flight between Ayodhya and Ahmedabad. With this inauguration, Ayodhya gets three direct flights a week from Ahmedabad. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Scindia said, the direct flight from Ayodhya to Ahmedabad will give a further boost to air connectivity between both cities. He said that on the one hand, Ahmedabad is a symbol of India's economic strength and on the other hand, Ayodhya represents India's spiritual and civilisational prowess. The Minister said the air connectivity between the two cities will contribute to economic growth and tourism.<br />''<br />''Talking about the growth of the Civil Aviation sector in Uttar Pradesh in the past nine years, Mr Scindia shared that Uttar Pradesh had only six airports in 2014, and now the State has ten airports including the newly inaugurated airport in Ayodhya. He said by the next month, Uttar Pradesh will have five more airports, one airport each in Azamgarh, Aligarh, Moradabad, Shravasti, and Chitrakoot. The Minister said, apart from this an international airport will also be ready in Jewar by the end of this year.
