The Annual Flotilla Awards Ceremony for the year 2015-16 was held at Naval Dockyard, Vishakhapatnam today. <br/>Commodore Sanjeev Issar , Naval Officer-in-Charge, Andhra Pradesh was the chief guest for the impressive traditional naval ceremony, an event held every year to present awards to the ships of the flotilla excelling in different facets of operations. The event was conducted to recognise overall excellence and valuable contribution of the ships and gallant men who have maintained constant vigil off the coast of Visakhapatnam. <br/><br/>During the year gone by, local flotilla was deployed in various operations and also played an important role in the recently conducted mega event – International Fleet Review.<br/><br/>INS Konkan bagged the "Most Spirited Ship" trophy and INS Cuddalore was adjudged as the "Best Ship".<br/><br/>Commodore Sanjeev Issar congratulated all the award winners and highlighted the importance of keeping the ships in highest operational state at all times. He also stressed upon the dynamic security situation prevailing in the region and the need for maintaining strict vigil.
