Sahitya Academi President Vishwanath Prasad Tiwari has said that the 'Award Waapsi' has become a political issue. He said, writers have politicised the issue by returning their awards and it has gone beyond the Sahitya Akademi.<br/><br/>In a related development, veteran Actor Anupam Kher will lead a march for India in New Delhi at 10 AM today where he is expecting the support of thousands of his fans, artists, writers and painters. In a tweet, Mr. Kher informed that the venue for the march has been changed from India Gate to National Museum at Janpath. Mr. Kher has decided to organise the march describing the award waapsi phenomenon as an attempt to tarnish India's image by a section of filmmakers and actors.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has said that he has invited intellectuals for discussion in the wake of return of awards. Mr. Singh said, he would like to know the reasons behind their decision to return awards.
