The Civil Aviation Ministry has set up a Working Group on Regulatory Framework to protect consumer interests including disclosure of tariffs by domestic airlines.The Working Group, to be chaired by Director General of Civil Aviation, will examine the existing system of passenger fare structuring and the manner in which it is disclosed to the public. Based on its findings the Group will recommend measures to enhance transparency in disclosure of tariffs.Our Correspondent reports that the Ministry has asked the Working Group to submit its first report latest by 30th of this month. The Working Group will function under the Civil Aviation Economic Advisory Council, CAEAC which was set up earlier this month to control the sudden surge in air-fares of domestic airlines in November.
