In Jammu and Kashmir, authorities have issued medium avalanche warning in regions close to mountainous areas of the Kashmir Valley following moderate to heavy snowfall.An official spokesman said in Srinagar that the avalanche warning had been issued in the snow-bound hilly areas of Khilanmarg, Gulmarg, Uri in Baramulla district, Chowkibal, Tangdhar in Kupwara district and Gurez in Bandipora district.People living in these areas have been advised not to venture in the steep avalanche prone slopes during the next 24 hours. The Kashmir Valley, including Srinagar, is experiencing snowfall.
