Authorities made tight security arrangements in view of bandh

In Uttar Pradesh, authorities have made tight security arrangements in view of a nation wide bandh today. Around 2700 security personnel have been sent to different districts to ensure law and order.<br/><br/>During the bandh, rail services were disrupted in many places today. According to Police, many SP activists were detained in Allahabad while trying to disrupt rail traffic. In the state capital, three buses were set ablaze allegedly by Samajwadi Party workers in Krishna Nagar, Ashiyana area and near Vidhan Bhawan.<br/><br/>Daily commuters between Meerut and Delhi were stranded as private buses were not plying on the stretch.<br/>
