Australian PM Turnbull visits TCS's state

Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has asked India's largest software exporter TCS to open an innovation campus in his country. This was after Mr. Turnbull spent close to an hour at TCS campus in Mumbai where he was shown the company's innovations in retail and financial services sector. <br/><br/>Mr. Malcom; who is on a four-day official visit to India, arrived in Mumbai this afternoon for the second leg of his tour. He proceeded straight to TCS' state of the art Executive Briefing Centre in Banyan Park. <br/><br/>Later on TCS' newly-appointed MD and CEO Rajesh Gopinathan said the Australian Prime Minister showed keen interest in the work TCS does to promote STEM education, especially amongst women. Mr. Turnbull was also impressed by TCS' ability to leverage technology for innovation and global competitiveness.

Australian PM Turnbull visits TCS&apos;s state

Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull visited Tata Consultancy Service's state of the art Executive Briefing Centre in Mumbai this afternoon. Mr. Malcom; who is on a four-day official visit to India, landed in Mumbai at about 3:30 PM. He proceeded to TCS' office in Banyan Park where he was briefed about the work done by the tech major across the globe. <br/><br/>Later this evening, the Australian PM will attend an Energy Roundtable at Oberoi Hotel followed by a business dinner at Trident. Mr. Turnbull is scheduled to visit Mumbai University tomorrow. He will also meet Maharashtra Governor C Vidyasagar Rao, before flying back to Australia. <br/><br/>In the first leg of his India tour, Mr. Turnbull had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Both the leaders had travelled on Delhi metro and visited Akshardham Temple. <br/><br/>India and Australia had also signed six agreements in areas related to expanding counter-terrorism cooperation, civil aviation security, sports, health and medicine and satellite navigation.
