In Tennis, Sania Mirza and her Czech team-mate Barbora Strycova have crashed out of the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam of the season, at Melbourne. In the Women's Doubles third round match this morning, the fourth-placed Indo-Czech pair lost to the unseeded Japanese team of Eri Hozumi and Miyu Kato, 3-6, 6-2, 2-6.In Mixed Doubles, Leander Paes and Martina Hingis progressed to the second round after beating the Aussie duo of Marc Polmans and Destanee Aiava, 6-4, 6-3. Sania and Rohan Bopanna, with their partners, have already made it to the Mixed Doubles second round.In the Singles, 8th seed Svetlana Kuznetsova of Russia bowed out, while Venus Williams advanced to the quarter-finals.
