The pair beat the duo of Columbia's Jean Sebastian Cobal and Abigail Spears of the United States 6-4, 7-6 in the quarter finals. In the other mixed doubles the Russian pair of E Makarova and E Vesnina beat the Romanian pair of I Begu and M Niculescu 6-4, 6-3 in the quarter finals.
