In Australia Open tennis, Indo-Croatian pair of Sania Mirza and Ivan Dodig has entered the quarterfinals of Mixed doubles event. The Indo-Croatian pair defeated Aussie-Chinese pair of Alexander Peya and Saisai Zheng 2-6, 6-3, 10-6. In the quarterfinals, Sania and Ivan will face Indo-Canadian pair of Rohan Bopanna and Gabriela Dabrowski. Earlier, Rohan Bopanna with his team mate had entered the quarterfinals. They defeated the duo of Y. Chan and L. Kubot 6-4, 5-7, 10-3 in the second round this morning.Stanislas Wawrinka has entered the Men's single semifinals beating Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in straight sets. The world number four Swiss player beat Frenchman 7-6, 6-4, 6-3. The 2008 finalist Tsonga gave a tough challenge to Wawrinka but fell short by a small margin in each set. With this win, Wawrinka became the first player to enter the Men's singles semifinals of the tournament this year. In another quarterfinal match Roger Federer beat young German sensation Mischa Zverev in straight sets 6-1, 7-5, 6-2. Federer will clash fellow swede Wawrinka in the semi-final. Meanwhile, in the Women's Singles, American Coco Vandeweghe defeated seventh seed Garbine Muguruza to enter the semi-finals. She defeated Muguruza, in straight sets, 6-4, 6-0.Venus Williams also progressed to the semis.
