Australian Open: Sania Mirza-Ivan Dodig beat Rohan Bopanna-Gabriela Dabrowski to enter Semis

Sania Mirza and her Croatian team-mate Ivan Dodig entered the semifinals in Mixed Doubles of the Australian Open Tennis tournament at Melbourne. They defeated Indo-Canadian pair of Rohan Bopanna and Gabriela Dabrowski 6-4, 3-6, 12-10 in Melbourne today. Sania Mirza and Ivan Dodig will meet the victors of the other quarterfinal between the Indo -Swiss duo of Leander Paes and Martina Hingis and the Aussie pair of Samantha Stosur and Sam Groth scheduled for tomorow. In Men's Singles, Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria stormed into semifinals after defeating David Goffin of Belgium 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 in quarterfinals. Rafeal Nadal of Spain also has entered the semis beating Canadian Milos Raonic 6-4, 7-6, 6-4. There will be semifinal clashes between Dimitrov and Nadal and Roger Federer and Stan Wawrinka. In Women's Singles, World Number two Serena Williams has sealed spot in semifinals. She defeated Briton Johanna Konta 6-2,6-3 today. In the other semifinal, Serena Williams will play against Croatia's Mirjana Lucic-Baroni who beat Karolina Pliskova of Czech Republic 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 in the quarter final. In the other Semis, Venus Williams will take on fellow American CoCo Vandeweghe. In Women's doubles semifinals, Czech Republic's Andrea Hlavackova and Shuai Peng of China beat the French pair of Caroline Garcia and Kristina Mladenovic 7-6, 6-2. In the other doubles semifinal American Czech pair of Bethanie Mattek Sands and Luci Safarova reached the finals beating Japanese duo of Eri Hozumi and Miyo Kato 6-2, 4-6, 6-4. In Men's doubles semifinals, American players Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan will play against Spanish pair of Pablo Carreno Busta and Guillermo Garcia-Lopez. In the other doubles match Australian pair of Marc Polmans and Andrew Whittington will clash with Australian Finnish duo of Henri Continen and John Peers.
