Australian Open: Sania & Bopanna, with their team-mates, enter Mixed Doubles quarterfinals

In Australia Open Tennis, Rohan Bopanna with his team mate G Dabrowski of Canada has entered the third round of the mixed doubles. The Indo Canadian pair defeated the duo of Y Chan and L Kubot 6-4,5-7,10-3 in the second round this morning. Sania Mirza will play in the second round of the mixed doubles category later today. She was out of the women's doubles category after losing to Japanese E Hozumi and M Kzato in the third round. Yesterday, Leander Paes with his Swiss partner Martina Hingis sailed into the quarterfinals of the Mixed Doubles. The Indo-Swiss pair defeated Australian duo of Casey Dellacqua and Matt Reid 6-2, 6-3. Meanwhile, in the junior category of the tournament Zeel Desai of India has moved to the girls' singles pre-quarterfinals. She defeated Germany's Jule Niemeier 6-4, 6-2 in the second round. Mihika Yadav is also in the fray. She is up against Japanese 10th seed Mai Hontama. Siddhant Banthia has, moved to the boys doubles second round with Turkey's Kaya Gore.
