World number three Rafael Nadal today made a shock exit from the Australian Open Tennis tournament at Melbourne. The Spaniard was stunned in the quarterfinal by lower placed Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic, 2-6, 0-6, 6-7. Earlier, world number two Roger Federer had bowed out from this first Grand Slam of the season after losing to the unseeded Italian Andreas Seppi in the third round.World number six Andy Murray, however, today stormed into the semi-finals beating Aussie Nick Kyrgios, 6-3, 7-6, 6-3. In the Women's Singles, Russians, Maria Sharapova and Ekaterina Makarova today progressed to the semi-finals with easy victories. World number one Novak Djokovic, defending champion Stanislas Wawrinka and Kei Nishikori Williams sisters, Serena and Venus will be seen in action in their quarterfinal fixtures tomorrow. In the Mixed Doubles, Sania Mirza and Leander Paes, with their teammates, will also look to book semi-final berths tomorrow.
