Leander Paes and his Slovakian partner Daniela Hantuchova have advanced to the quarterfinals of the mixed doubles at the Australian Open Tennis championships. In Melbourne today, the unseeded pair scored an upset victory over eighth seeds Mahesh Bhupathi and Elena Vesnina of Russia in three sets 6-0 2-6 10-6. Two other Indians, Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna also made it to the Mixed Doubles last eight stage along with their respective partners. Sania Mirza reached the quarter-finals in the women's doubles also, partnering Cara Black of Zimbabwe.
