Australian Open: Leander Paes-Martina Hingis clinch mixed doubles crown

Leander Peas and his Swiss teammate Martina Hingis today lifted the Mixed Doubles trophy of the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam of the season. The seventh seeded pair defeated the higher placed Canadian-French team of Daniel Nestor and Kristina Mladenovic, in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3.The Men's Singles final will be played this afternoon. World number one Novak Djokovic will clash with sixth placed Andy Murray for the trophy.Serena Williams bagged the Women's Singles title for the sixth time yesterday. The world number one American had defeated second seeded Russian Maria Sharapova, 6-3, 7-6. It was Serena's 19th Grand Slam title.
