In the biggest upset of the Australian open Tennis, defending Champion and World No.2 Novak Djkovic of Serbia has been ousted by Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan. Istomin, ranked 117 in the world, beat Djkovic in a thrilling five setter 7-6, 5-7, 2-6, 7-6, 6-4 in a second round match yesterday. The 14-times grand slam champion Rafael Nadal stormed into the third round of the Australian Open defeating Marcos Baghdatis of Cyprus 6-3, 6-1, 6-3.Earlier, Leander Paes and his Brazilian partner Andre Sa lost in the first round of the men's doubles. The duo lost the match 4-6, 7-6, 6-4 to 10th seeds Treat Huey and Max Mirnyi. Another Indian pair of Purav Raja and Divij Sharan also lost their first round match. They were beaten by the French pair of Jonathan Eysseric and Fabrice Martin in a hard fought match 7-6, 7-6. Rohan Bopanna is now the only Indian left in the men's doubles. Along with Uruguyay's Pablo Cuevas, he is up against local team of Alex Bolt and Bradley Mousley in the second round today. In Men's singles matches today, Tomas Berdych will lock horns with Roger Federer in 3rd round in Malbourne while Stan Wawrinka will be proceeding against Serbis's Viktor Troicki. Ameriaca's Sam Querrey will take on Andy Murray where as Lukas Lacko of Slovakia will be playing against Japan's Kei Nishikori. In Women's Singles, China's Ying-Ying Duan will take on Venus Williams in 3rd round today and Kristyna Pliskova of Czech Republic will challenge Germany's Angelique Kerber. Sania Mirza and Czech Republic's Barbora Strycova will play against Samantha Stosur and her partner Shuai Zhang in second round of women's doubles event today.
