The Australian Navy has intercepted two boats carrying asylum seekers in waters north-west of the country. The Navy said one of the boats was towing the other. According to Australian officials, 74 asylum seekers and three crew members were on board the ships. The group will be taken to Christmas Island for health and security checks.
