<span style="color: #222222;">Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong has said that she will visit West Asia this week to aid international diplomatic efforts towards a long-term peace. She is scheduled to visit Jordan, UAE, Israel, and the Occupied Palestinian Territories which consists of the West Bank and Gaza. Ms. Wong will call for the release of all remaining hostages, and convey Australia's support for Israel's security and its right to defend itself in the face of terrorism, an official statement said. She will also reiterate Australia's support for Palestinian's right to self-determination and commitment to meeting humanitarian needs in Gaza, it added. She is also scheduled to meet with the families of hostages and survivors of Hamas' October 7 attacks during the visit.</span><br />
